The first official prayer room of Naha Airport has been officially opened, 20 March 2015.

Japanese style Musalla (prayer room), typical Japanese tatami floors. It's another good step towards international culture understanding between Japan and Islam. That will serve Muslim tourists visiting Okinawa as well as Muslim community living in Okinawa city in Japan.

The Naha Airport shows features that reflect Japanese design. This is the first of its kind in the Musollahs found in Japan. Features such as tatami floors and the ablution area made from traditional Japanese sinks definitely enhances the experience of tourists coming to Japan.
